The Extruder Mini V2 is a compact, hand-cranked desktop injection molder designed and built in the UK by Sustainable Design Studio, for workshops, schools, events, and small-scale production. Use the screw mechanism to force molten plastic directly into your mould of choice, producing finished products in minutes. At just 10 kg it is the lightest machine of its kind, and with drill compatibility built in you can scale up speed whenever you need it.

Mobile workshops, classrooms, pop-up recycling events. The EMV2 hand-cranks or drives off a drill, with mains needed only for the 300W heater. Set up in minutes, pack down in seconds.

Crank by hand or drive with a drill
A hand crank turns the screw mechanism on demand, or fit a battery drill to the same shaft for faster runs. The 300W heating element brings the barrel to 300°C in around five minutes.
Bench-top, classroom-ready
At 10 kg and 15 × 50 × 24 cm (D × W × H), the EMV2 sits on any bench and moves between rooms or sites with ease. Ideal for shared workshops, schools, and pop-up recycling events.
Screw-on mould attachment
The output threads accept any SDS Premium Mould or your own custom screw-on attachment. Extrude continuous profiles, rods, or fill moulds directly with molten plastic.

The V2 piston system pushes harder than the V1, giving you more reliable mold-filling on dense plastics like ABS and HDPE.
Reinforced frame
Heavier-gauge steel and improved fastener routing make the V2 sturdier under continuous extrusion or drill-driven use. Less flex, fewer adjustments.
Easier to build
A simplified 38-step assembly with cleaner part labelling brings first-time build down to a few hours, even for newcomers to mechanical assembly.
Better temperature control
Upgraded digital PID controller holds the barrel within tighter tolerances at 300°C, producing more consistent extrusion across long sessions.
