1.2 Image Data

  • Photos you take within the App for plastic identification

  • Images are processed using 3rd party tools to generate results

  • A copy may be stored securely in our database for research, training, and app improvement purposes

  • “Helpful” or “Not Helpful” ratings after a scan

  • Comments or suggestions (if provided)

1.4 Advertising & Analytics Data

  • We may collect information about interactions with ads displayed in the App

  • Email address or username if you create an account or subscribe to premium features

  • Subscription/payment data processed securely via Google Play Billing.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Provide core functionality of the App (e.g., plastic type recognition)

  • Improve and personalise the App experience

  • Monitor performance, fix bugs, and enhance features

  • Provide customer support if you contact us

  • Show relevant advertisements to help keep the App free

  • Scan images & results: up to 24 months (for app improvement) unless you request deletion

  • Crash & analytics data: up to 24 months

  • Subscription/payment records: 6 years (legal requirement)

  • Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restrict or object to certain processing

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and secure servers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or mobile networks is 100% secure.

10. Advertising & Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party SDKs and services that may collect information automatically.

These services may collect identifiers, device data, and usage information to deliver personalised ads and improve app performance. You can opt out of personalised advertising via your device settings (Google Settings > Ads).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted in the App and on our website, with the “Last Updated” date at the top.
