V1 vs V2

Five refinements, one redesigned machine

Single box

Globally shippable

The whole machine ships in one box anywhere in the world, no pallet required. V1 needed a multi-box shipment for the table-mount configuration.

Tighter

Better tolerances

Laser-cut precision on every panel and shaft housing. Less play in the drive train means cleaner flakes and a quieter shred.

Stronger

More robust build

Improved assembly and a beefier frame. The V2 is built to take real workshop use, week in, week out.

19 mm

Universal hex shaft

A 19 mm (3/4 inch) hex shaft replaces the V1 fixed crank. Drive it with a wrench, ratchet, drill, or low-RPM motor, your choice.

Same price

Better in every way

Every upgrade above lands at V1 prices. From £200 as a kit, the SMV2 stays the cheapest plastic shredder we make.

No. The Shredder Mini V2 is a hand-operated tool with no mains electricity required. The 19 mm hex shaft accepts any standard wrench, ratchet, or drill, so you can crank by hand or attach a battery drill for faster throughput.
Approximately 5 kg per hour, depending on plastic type and how the shaft is driven. Hand-cranking handles small batches; a battery drill or low-RPM motor (target ~40 RPM at the shaft, up to 80 Nm torque) increases throughput for larger volumes.
PLA, ABS, HDPE, LDPE, PP, PETG, PS, plus many more. See the full plastic material database for compatibility detail. The output is sized to feed directly into the Injection Mini V2 for injection mold production. Not suitable for thin films, fabrics, or thick metals.
Yes. We ship worldwide with carbon-neutral delivery as standard, and have shipped to 94 countries to date. Default invoicing is in GBP; we can also issue invoices in EUR, USD, or CAD on request.
The V2 has improved assembly, tighter tolerances, and a more robust build. It ships in a single box anywhere in the world (no pallets required), uses a 19 mm universal hex shaft (drill, ratchet, or motor compatible), and costs the same as the V1.
Yes, with the table-mount configuration. The Box + Table Mount adds a safety hopper that covers the moving blades during operation, making it suitable for schools and educational settings. Adult supervision is always recommended.
